About Jordan

Jordan Raynor is the President and Founder of Direct Media Strategies – a complete online communications consulting firm helping candidates and organizations communicate directly with voters and consumers online.  Jordan has been called “Florida’s representation of the internet” and the “King of Florida new media” by leading online strategists.

Prior to founding Direct Media Strategies, Jordan served as the Executive Editor of Sayfie Media, an online news service, and an Associate of NetPower Strategy, an online strategy consulting firm. During his tenure at Sayfie Media, Jordan executed cutting edge strategies to increase traffic to SayfieReview.com by more than 30%. His work earned SayfieReview.com the title of Best Florida Political Blog by the Washington Post as well as ITFlorida’s first-ever Excellence in Web 2.0 Award. As an Associate of NetPower Strategy, Jordan planned and executed strategic online campaign plans for Republicans on the state and congressional level as well as The Boeing Company.

In 2010, Jordan was selected as a Google Fellow at the Personal Democracy Forum in New York City. Respected as an opinion leader, blogger and strategist at the intersection of politics, media and technology, Jordan’s work has been featured on the BBC, Wired Magazine, the St. Petersburg Times, Real Clear Politics and The Hill. Jordan regularly serves as a university guest lecturer and is also a member of the blogging team at TechRepublican.com.

Jordan is a graduate of Florida State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in public relations. He is a sixth generation Floridian, currently residing in Tampa, FL with his wife Kara.
